ABOUT

Lush escapes. Simple Joys.

Through vivid colour and light, I invite you to step into sunlit worlds where
time slows and joy lingers.

My Story

I’ve always been drawn to colour — its power to uplift, tell a story, and capture light. I didn’t set out to become an artist; my curiosity first led me to journalism, where I spent a decade chasing stories from Vancouver to China, Tanzania, and Malawi.

That chapter led to my book How to Hong Kong (2016), a love letter to my hometown that also rekindled my love for art.

Now, I tell stories through paint — stories of light, joy, and presence. My work invites you to pause and savour the beauty that surrounds us — those sunlit, fleeting moments that make life feel full and alive.

My Inspiration

Born and raised in Hong Kong, I carry with me the city’s rhythm and vibrancy — the shimmer of the harbour, the hum of the streets, the richness of its contrasts. Travel remains my greatest muse, especially the sun-drenched landscapes of Bali and Thailand, where life moves in warmth and colour.

My paintings are portals to those moments: a long lunch beneath swaying palms, the hush of turquoise seas, the glow of late afternoon light. Each piece is a quiet reminder to exhale, slow down, and delight in the simple luxuries of everyday life.

While I love to travel, I am based most of the year in Vancouver, Canada, where I live with my husband and two children.
